Abdul
Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) has finalized the 2024-25 strategic plan
for Student Support Services under USAID's Higher Education System
Strengthening Activity (HESSA) project. A pivotal meeting was held on 9th
September 2024, led by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir, Vice-Chancellor of AWKUM, with
the participation of Ms. Asma Mohsin, Manager of Student Support Services for
USAID HESSA, Mr. Hassan Khan, Registrar, and the leads of seven focal areas.
The
strategic plan for the following focal areas was finalized:
1. Alumni
Engagement
2. Career
Services
3. Financial
Aid
4. Mental
Health
5. Micro
Enterprise Development
6. Student
Leadership & Programming
7. Executive
Leadership Track: Student Affairs
During
the meeting, an action plan for the implementation of these services was also
outlined, ensuring a comprehensive and strategic approach to student
development for the upcoming academic year.
The
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir, emphasized AWKUM’s commitment to
delivering top-tier student support services. He reiterated that the university
administration would provide all necessary resources and support to implement
the Student Support Services Plan effectively.
This
initiative highlights AWKUM’s dedication to fostering a supportive and
empowering environment for its students.
