Mr. Ashraf Ali, Associate Professor at AWKUM, Successfully Defends PhD Dissertation under the Supervision of Dr. Abdul Shakoor, Associate Professor (Tenured), Department of IR
Mr. Ashraf Ali, Associate Professor, Department of Law, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan defended his PhD dissertation under the Supervision of Dr. Abdul Shakoor, Associate Professor (Tenured), Department of IR, titled “Exploring the Tension Between India and Pakistan in the Context of Kulboshan Jadhav Case: An Interpretation from International Law Perspective” scheduled on April 14th 2025 in a coherent and convincing manner. His defense was attended by external examiners as well as members of the committee constituted by the Director Academics. The examiners approved his candidature for the award of PhD in International Relations and congratulated him for successfully defending his dissertation. Apart from external examiners, the event was also attended by Dr. Rashid Ali, Dr. Sajjad Ali Khan, Dr. Abdul Shakoor, Dr. Manzoor Ahmad, Dr. Ahmad Ali, Dr. Tahir and students from across different departments within the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Cleanliness Drive Organized by the Institute of Business Studies and Leadership (IB) AWKUM
The Institute of
Business Studies and Leadership (IBL) at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan
(AWKUM) organized Cleanliness Drive in the Holy month of Ramadhan (March, 2025)
promoting hygiene and environmental responsibility. Students and faculty
actively participated in cleaning classrooms, theatre halls and surrounding
areas, reinforcing the importance of a clean learning environment.
As part of the
initiative, students placed dustbins at designated locations to encourage
proper waste disposal and awareness about cleanliness. Awareness posters were
also displayed to highlight the importance of maintaining a litter-free campus.
Speaking at the event,
Director IBL expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, emphasizing its role
in creating a more appealing and conducive academic atmosphere. He assured his
full support for similar activities in the future, recognizing the students'
contributions in maintaining a clean campus. He also extended his gratitude to
the Director of Administration, AWKUM, for facilitating the event.
To acknowledge the
efforts of student volunteers, Director IBL distributed certificates of
appreciation, encouraging continued participation in such initiatives. The
event concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the commitment to cleanliness
and environmental awareness at the university.
