Mr. Nangial Khan (Graphic Design Trainer) at KPYEP under KPIT Board was the Key Speaker for this event  who introduce various state of the art Graphic Designing tools to computer Science students and Faculty Members.

One-Day Seminar Arranged by PIO office AWKUM on RTI Law

A one-day seminar was arranged by PIO office AWKUM on 5^th of March 2019 at IBL, Garden Campus on Right to Information Law. The purpose of this gathering was to bring awareness among the citizens about RTI law. It was highlighted by the speakers that transparency of information plays a vital role in smooth functioning of democracy and improving its governance, reduce corruption and to held public functionaries accountable before their citizens. The main participants were Honorable Chief Guest Mr. Azmat Hanif Orakzai (Chief Commissioner, KP Information Commission), Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khurshid, Prof. Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq, Respected Deans and HODs, Public Information Officer (PIO) M. Aqeel Khan, Respected Faculty, Administrative staff and students from various departments including Law.  Assistant Prof. Law Ms. Ayesha Rasool hosted the event.

One Day Seminar Regarding Halal Food and Certification

A one day seminar regarding Halal Food and Certification was held on 5/12/2018 at the conference hall of HPE. The seminar was organized by ORIC with the cooperation of Department of Agriculture and Department of Botany.  Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hamayun, Dr. Hazir Rehman, Prof. Dr. Waheed Murad, Dr. Amjad Iqbal, Dr. Ziaullah Khan, Dr. Farooq Shah, Dr. Adil Hussain, Dr. Muhammad Ali, Dr. Muhammad Imtiaz, Dr. Said Hussain, Dr. Fazal Said, Dr. Fazal Jalal and a large number of students has attended the seminar. The seminar delivered by Mr. Khalid from Halal Food Certification was well received by the experts in the field and students. At the end of the seminar the Halal Food Certification, agreed to sign MOU with AWKUM and to train students from the Department of Microbiology and Department of Agriculture (Specialization Food Science and Technology).

One Day Session on “First Aid Training” at UCW

University College for Women arranged a one day session on “First Aid Training” the session was organize by Ms. Naseem Rafiq, Principal University College for Women and Ms. Rubina Zakir, Lecturer in Home Economics. Rescue training was given by officials of 1122. All the students participated enthusiastically.  

One Day Seminar "Students Awareness On Use Of Medicinal Preparation For Livestock Sponserd By Nawan Laboratories (PVT) LTD"

College of veterinary sciences & Animal husbandry, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan organized one day seminar on October 18, 2018 on the topic “Students Awareness on Use of Medicinal Preparation for Livestock’’ Sponsorsed by Nawan Laboratories (PVT) Ltd. The Guest Speaker of the Seminar was Dr Mujahid Akbar (Area Sales manager KPK) along with Subordinate staff of Nawan Laboratories.

The speaker delivered a comprehensive talk on use of Medicinal Products like antibiotics, Anthelmintic, Metabolic enhancer, Tonics and various supplement regarding animals feeding prepared by Nawan Laboratories (PVT) Ltd.

The DVM 9^th and 7^th semester students took great interest in the seminar and raised thoughts provoking questions about usage of various medicine.

In concluding session, the Chief Guest, Professor Dr. Sadeeq Ur Rahman, Principal College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan appreciated the efforts of Dr. Ali Gohar IN charge Veterinary Clinical services and Dr. Fazli Rabbani IN charge Experimental Animal Shed for organizing such a useful event for the students.

The students of Science and Arts participated in the seminar and they presented different models in the supervision of Principal/Dy. Provost (Female) Mrs. Naseem Rafiq and Ms. Robina Zakir, Lecturer in Home Economics made from waste materials.

One Day Seminar Regarding Technology Development Fund (TDF)

The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan aims at strengthening academia and industry linkage and has initiated a program “Establishment of Technology Development Fund for Academia and Industry Joint Venture Projects to Introduce New Technologies in Pakistan”. The project has already completed two rounds of application and HEC has awarded TDF grants to 126 proposals out of 392 received. The 3^rd call for proposals has already been advertised and the last date of proposals is August 30, 2018.

I am pleased to share with you that we are holding a one day seminar regarding Technology Development Fund (TDF) on July 03, 2018 at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.  The officials from Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) will enlighten the audience on how to pursue with Technology Development Fund (TDF). The seminar is intended to create awareness amongst the researchers and faculty of specially AWKUM and in general all the universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) which, indeed, is a step forward to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
