Conference on Seerat-un-Nabiﷺ Held at the Department of Islamic Studies, AWKUM

 The Department of Islamic Studies, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan organized a thought-provoking conference on Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ , in collaboration with the Provost Office AWKUM and the District Youth Office Mardan.

The conference focused on the theme:

اخلاقِ نبوی ﷺ کا حقیقی تصور اور انسانی عملی زندگی میں اس کی تطبیق

The renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Sayed Shujat Ali Shah (Shaikhul Hadith Jamia Islamia Bubuzai Mardan) graced the occasion as the Guest Speaker. He delivered profound insights into the philosophical, religious, and practical dimensions of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) manners, emphasizing their relevance and applicability in contemporary human life.

The session was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Karim Dad, Chairperson, Department of Islamic Studies. Furthermore, the University Chief Proctor, nominees of the Provost Office, faculty members and students of the Department of Islamic Studies participated in the event. They showed keen interest in the lecture and appreciated the speaker’s scholarly and engaging presentation.

The conference concluded with a renewed commitment among attendees to incorporate the noble اخلاقِ نبوی ﷺ into their personal and social lives.

The convener Seminar/Workshop Committee Dr. Muhammad Zubair thanked the Vice Chancellor, Dean, Faculty of Arts & Humanities, Chairperson Department of Islamic Studies, Office of the Provost and Chief Proctor for their cordial support and assistant in conduction of the Seminar.

The Seminar ended with the distribution of shields among the organizers and the Guest Speaker, following by dua for the prosperity of the whole Muslim Ummah and University as well.  

Dr. Saeed-ur-Rahman Presents Scholarly Work to Vice Chancellor of AWKUM

Dr. Saeed-ur-Rahman, Assistant Professor in the Department of Islamic Studies at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM), formally presented his book titled “Tahqeeq'at-e-Islamiyat Advanced (Urdu Islamic Research Theses Index)” to Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jamil, Vice Chancellor of the university, during an official meeting.

The book represents a significant academic contribution to the field of Islamic studies, offering a comprehensive index of Urdu research theses that will serve as a valuable resource for scholars, researchers, and students alike.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jamil appreciated Dr. Saeed-ur-Rahman’s scholarly efforts and highlighted the importance of such works in strengthening research culture and academic excellence within the university.

The occasion marked a notable milestone in promoting advanced Islamic research and underscored AWKUM’s commitment to supporting intellectual and academic development.

Seminar on “Meaningful Life”

Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) hosted an insightful seminar on the topic “Meaningful Life” on March 11, 2026, delivered by Prof. Dr. Hafiz Salihuddin, Professor and former Chairman of the Department of Islamic Studies, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM).

The session brought together a diverse audience of students, faculty members, and administrative staff. Prof. Dr. Hafiz Salihuddin emphasized the importance of leading a balanced and purposeful life, highlighting several key themes:

• The need to harmonize personal, professional, and spiritual responsibilities for a well-rounded life.
• A practical explanation of the Eisenhower Quadrants, demonstrating how prioritization enhances productivity and time management.
• The significance of religious guidance and the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as frameworks for ethical conduct, resilience, and meaningful living.
• Practical strategies for avoiding extremism, managing stress, and effectively navigating modern academic and personal challenges.

In the concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmed Khalid, Rector GIKI, expressed gratitude to Prof. Dr. Hafiz Salihuddin for delivering an inspiring and academically enriching session. He also thanked Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmad, Vice Chancellor AWKUM, for facilitating the participation of such a distinguished scholar.

The honorable Rector further expressed interest in strengthening collaborative initiatives with AWKUM’s Department of Islamic Studies to organize similar academic and developmental sessions in the future.

شعبہ اسلامیات اور انگلش میں  آج 22 مارچ 2023 کو سیرت نبوی ﷺ کی روشنی میں  استقبال رمضان 2023 اور ہماری تیاریاں کے عنوان سے زیر صدارت پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آیاز احمد،چئرمین شعبہ انگلش  ایک پر وقار تقریب کا اہتمام کیا گیا۔

ڈاکٹر سہیل أنور کوارڈینیٹر ایم فل پروگرام،ڈاکٹر محمد ذکریا کوارڈینیٹر بی ایس پروگرام،ڈاکٹر لیاقت اقبال کوارڈینیٹر بی ایس انگلش پروگرام،ڈاکٹر عرفان اللہ اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر،ڈاکٹر ابظاہر خان ایسو سی ایٹ پروفیسر ،دیگر فیکلٹی ممبران،اسسٹنگ سٹاف اور طلبہ طالبات نے کثیر تعداد میں شرکت کی۔

چیئرمین ڈپیارٹمنٹ آف اسلامک سٹڈیز عبدالولی خان یونیورسٹی مردان پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حافظ صالح الدین نے ریسور پرسن کی حیثیت سے اپنے فرائض سر انجام دیے۔

تمہید ی کلمات ڈاکٹر لیاقت اقبال جب کہ تعارفی بات  ڈاکٹر سہیل أنور نے پیش کیا۔

پرو فیسر ڈاکٹر صالح الدین نے  اپنے لیکچر میں  رمضا ن المبارک کے لیے خود کو روحانی طور پر تیار کرنے پر زور دیا  کہ کس طرح ہم اس رمضان المبارک کو گزشتہ رمضان سے زیادہ بہتر اور کارآمد بنا سکتے ہیں؟ 

انہوں نے اپنے خطاب میں فرمایا کہ رمضان کا با برکت مہینہ   کل سے شروع ہونے ولا ہے اور ہر ایک مسلمان کو رمضان کے شب وروز کو دنیوی اور آخروی سعادت حاصل کرنے کیلئے پیشگی منصوبہ بندی کرنی چاہیے ۔ 

 ہمیں  اس  ماہ مقدس سے  زیادہ سے زیادہ فوائد سمیٹنے کے لیے سب  سے پہلے اپنا محاسبہ کرنا ہوگا خود احتسابی کا عمل نہایت ضروری ہے  اس کے ساتھ ساتھ  اپنے خاندان  کے افراد کی بہتری کے لیے ضروری اقدامات کرنے ہوں گے، اپنے کام کرنے کی جگہ پر خود کو  ایک دیانتدار معلم ،سٹو ڈنٹ ،ایک ذمہ دار شہری  اور بہترین مسلمان کے طور پر پیش کرنا ہوگا اور اس کے ساتھ ساتھ نبی کریم ﷺ کے ایک امتی کے طور پر اپنی ذمہ داری کو بجالانا ضروری ہوگا۔ 

آپ نے فرمایا کہ ہمیں رمضان المبارک میں لایعنی کاموں  ،  بیسیار خوری  ،  فضول خرچی،  اور دیگربرے اعمال  سے اجتناب کرنا ہوگا  اور اس کے ساتھ فرائض کی ادائیگی ،  قرآن کریم کی تلاوت،ذکر و اذکار،   نفلی عبادات ، تہجد اور صدقات  کا اہتمام کرنا ہوگا۔

نبی کریم ﷺ کا  خطبہ حجہ الوداع   انسانی حقوق کا  بہترین  چارٹر  ہے  جوہمارے لئے مشعل راہ ہے۔

ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف اسلامک سٹڈیز عبد الولی خان یو نیورسٹی مردان  نے امسال عشرہ رحمُۃ اللعالمین  کو خوب جوش و خروش سے منا کر         نئے سشن کا آغاز    نبی کریم ﷺ  کے محبت اور اخلاق حسنہ کے تعارف سے کیا ۔

تعلیمی اداروں میں نبی کریم ﷺ کی تعلیمی پالیسی عملی طور پر اپنانے کی ضرورت ہے۔

·        تفصیلات کے مطابق عبدالولی خان یونیورسٹی مردان میں  عشرہ رحمۃ اللعالمین  کے اہتمام میں ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف اسلامک سٹڈیز کے پروفیسرز نے سیرت کے مختلف موضوعات پر لیکچرز دیئے اور حسن قرات ونعت خوانی کا اہتمام کیا گیا ۔ ڈاکٹرآب ظاہر خان نے " اقلیتوں کے حقوق سیرت النبی ﷺ کی روشنی میں" ، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد طاہر نے ریاست مدینہ  اور اس کے مختلف معاشرتی طبقات کا اشتراک   اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر  صالح الدین نے شان محمد ﷺ اور ہماری ذمہ داریاں  کے عنوان پر تفصیلی لیکچرزدیے۔

18 اکتوبر 2021 کو عبدالولی خان یونیورسٹی مردان میں گیارہواں سیرت سیمینار کا انعقاد فیکلٹی آف آئی بی ایل کی کانفرنس ہال میں کیا گیا  ، جس میں تین سو سے زیادۃ طلبا ،طالبات  ،اساتذہ کرام اور سٹاف نے شرکت کیں۔سٹیج کے فرائض جناب پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ابظاہر خان نے سر انجام دیے۔

ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف اسلامک سٹڈیز کے چیرمین ڈاکٹر حافظ صالح الدین نے کہا کہ اکیڈمک سیشن فال2021  کی افتتاح ایک ایسی شخصیت سے ہورہی ہے جو سینکڑوں کتابوں کے مصنف اور بین الاقوامی سکا لر  ہیں ۔ ان کی علمی اور دینی خدمات کا ایک طویل فہرست ہے اُن کی آمد یونیورسٹی کے اس سیشن کے لئے ایک نیک فال ثابت ہوگا۔

اس موقع پر مہمان خصوصی شیخ الحدیث مولانا عبدالقیوم حقانی صاحب تھے ۔آپ نے  "انسانی حقوق : تعلیمات نبوی ﷺ کی روشنی میں"  کے عنوان پر  تقریر کرتے ہوئےکہا ، کہ  نبی کریم ﷺ نے خطبہ حجہ الوداع میں انسانی حقوق کا جو چارٹر دیا ہے وہ ہمارے لئے مشعل راہ ہے۔انھوں نے طلبہ پر واضح کیا کہ انسانی حقوق  کے حوالے سے اسلامی لٹریچر خود کفیل ہے۔ اقوام متحدہ کے چارٹر  کے نکات کا اصل ماخذ سیرت طیبہ ﷺ ہے ۔ اب ضرورت اس امر کی ہے کہ آپ لوگ اس مادر علمی میں اس سے فا ئدہ اٹھا کر  معاشرے کو فا ئدہ پہنچائے۔آپ نے کہا مجھے پاکستان کے اکثر جامعات میں جانے کا اتفاق ہو ا ہے لیکن جو علمی اور تحقیقی ما حول میں نے عبد الولی خان یو نیورسٹی میں اس کے اساتذہ اور انتظامیہ کے بار ے میں  پرنٹ اور الیکٹرانک میڈیا  کے ذریعے سنا تھا  آج میں نے عملی طور پر دیکھ لیا ہے۔اس کی ڈیجٹل لاٗبریری،قابل ترین اساتذہ کرام  اور دیگر سہولیات کو دیکھ کر میرا دل اس کے رئیس جناب پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ظہور الحق صاحب،پرو وائس چانسلر جناب پروفیسر ڈاکٹر زاہد مروت صاحب اور ان کے ٹیم کے لیے دعا گوہ رہا۔

آپ نے چیرمین شعبہ اسلامیات سمیت  تمام فیکلٹی ممبرز کا صمیم قلب سے شکریہ اداکر کے اس کے وجود اور ترقی کو اس یو نیورسٹی کے لیے مزید حفاظت اور ترقی کا ضامن قرار دے دیا۔

پروفیسر ڈاکٹر زاہد مروت ، پرو وائس چانسلرنے مہمان  خصوصی کا شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے حقوق انسانیت پر آپ کے لیکچر کو  اس یونیورسٹی کے فیکلٹی اور سٹاف کے لیے انتہائی مفید قرار دیتے ہو ئے اس قسم کے علمی سیمنارز اور شعبہ اسلامیات کی کار کردگی کو سراہا اور اس بات کی توثیق کی کہ ہیومن را ئٹس کے حوالے سے اسلام نے جس طریقہ کار کی وضاحت کی ہے وہ ہمیں کسی اور مذہب اور قانون میں نہیں ملتی۔اب ضرورت صرف اس کی صحیح تفہیم اور عمل کی ہے۔

چیئر مین شعبہ اسلامیات ڈاکٹر صالح  الدین نے وائس چانسلر جناب پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ظہور الحق صاحب کی طرف سے مہمانی خصوصی،شعبہ اسلامیات کے تمام فیکلٹی ممبرز ،عشرہ رحمۃ للعالین کے اندر مختلف موضوعات پر  لیکچر دینے والے پروفیسرز،انتظامیہ اور تمام شعبہ ہائے جات سے شرکت کرنے والے اساتذہ اور طلبا کا شکریہ اادا کیا۔
