Seminar on “Meaningful Life”
Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) hosted an insightful seminar on the topic “Meaningful Life” on March 11, 2026, delivered by Prof. Dr. Hafiz Salihuddin, Professor and former Chairman of the Department of Islamic Studies, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM).
The session brought together a diverse audience of students, faculty members, and administrative staff. Prof. Dr. Hafiz Salihuddin emphasized the importance of leading a balanced and purposeful life, highlighting several key themes:
- The need to harmonize personal, professional, and spiritual responsibilities for a well-rounded life.
- A practical explanation of the Eisenhower Quadrants, demonstrating how prioritization enhances productivity and time management.
- The significance of religious guidance and the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as frameworks for ethical conduct, resilience, and meaningful living.
- Practical strategies for avoiding extremism, managing stress, and effectively navigating modern academic and personal challenges.
In the concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmed Khalid, Rector GIKI, expressed gratitude to Prof. Dr. Hafiz Salihuddin for delivering an inspiring and academically enriching session. He also thanked Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmad, Vice Chancellor AWKUM, for facilitating the participation of such a distinguished scholar.
The honorable Rector further expressed interest in strengthening collaborative initiatives with AWKUM’s Department of Islamic Studies to organize similar academic and developmental sessions in the future.
