Department of International Relations of the University, Main Campus requires services of Lecturers on visiting basis for a period of current semester (Fall 2018). Interested/ Eligible Candidates may apply and appear through walk in interview as per the following scheduled (Main Campus):

First Division Master’s Degree/ BS (16 years of education) or M.Phil, in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/ Institution with no 3rd division in the academic career.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1.      Interested candidates are required to appear for interview in the office of Dean Faculty of Social Sciences on the specific date with their CV’s and full documents, copy of CNIC, a recent passport size photograph, attested copies of educational testimonials and experience certificates (if any) should reach to the office of the Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (Main Campus) on Wednesday 17/10/ 2018.
2.      CGPA less than 3.00 out of 4.00 shall be considered as second division.
3.      All applicants must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria as mentioned above.
4.      In case of Foreign Degree, the applicant must produce HEC Equivalence Certificate.
5.      In-service candidates shall apply through proper channel. They must submit (No Objection Certificate) from their employer/Institution.

Department of Sociology arranged seminar at UCW. Title “Awareness about Segregation and Management of Solid Waste in Mardan”. The students of Science and Arts participated in the seminar and they presented different models in the supervision of Principal/Dy. Provost (Female) Mrs. Naseem Rafiq and Ms. Robina Zakir, Lecturer in Home Economics made from waste materials.

The Chief organizer was Mr. Ishaq, Lecturer in Sociology with collaboration of WSSCM.

Agenda.
·        Farewell to the Ex Chief Proctor and reconstitution of Proctorial Board.
Meeting started with recitation of the Holy Quran. The chair welcomed the participants and thereafter the proceedings of the meeting started.

Discussion: Chief Proctor initiated the discussion and described the purpose of the meeting. He along all the Participants appreciated the efforts of the Ex Chief Proctor in promoting and strengthening the Proctorial Board. He was applauded through clapping for him. Chief Proctor made reference to his notification in which he was directed for constitution of new Proctorial Board. He took all Proctors on board that the new Proctorial Board may or may not include them pertinent to recommendation of their concerned Chairman / Dean.


Decisions:

·   It was unanimously decided that Proctorial Board will be made more effective.
·   Rules of the board may be revised and made balanced and student oriented.
·  Dr. Atiq was requested to prepare group of Proctorial Board on whatsapp and social media for promotion and positive image of the university.





World Animal Day Celebrated at College of Veterinary Sciences


“World Animal Day was celebrated at the College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, AWKUM, dated October 04, 2018. The faculty, staff and students of the college arranged an awareness walk regarding animal day theme inside the campus. Dean of the faculty of Chemical and Life Sciences graced the awareness walk.

A social program was arranged at the college, where students presented different tablo, skits, quotations and poems related to the day. Acting Principal Dr. Tahir Usman briefed the students regarding the aim/objectives and history of world animal day celebration and about the animal rights and welfare. He addressed the students to play their due role in order to raise the status of the animals and let this planet a better place for all creatures. Dr. Irfan Khattak also spoke in the event and elaborated the animal rights and the role of veterinary students in raising the standard of animal welfare.

The event was ended with a dua by Dr. Qari Fazle Rabbani followed by refreshment."
