Time Higher Education World Young Universities Ranking, AWKUM on TOP with 187 Ranking
Time Higher Education World Young Universities Ranking is released. Pakistan 34 universities has made there slot in the list of 790 with Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, on TOP with 187 Ranking
AWKUM maintained the TOP position yet again and is ranked First in Pakistan by Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2022
By the grace of Allah, the almighty, Abdul Wali Khan University (AWKUM) maintained the TOP position yet again and is ranked First in Pakistan by Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2022 and 187th in the world.
Times Higher Education (THE) has today announced the result of its Young University Ranking. The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2022 use the same 13 performance indicators as the flagship THE World University Rankings, but the weightings have been adjusted to give less weight to reputation. This year 34 universities participated in the ranking and AWKUM outshine all of them.
The universities are judged across all their core missions – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook – to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available. The 2022 ranking includes 790 universities, up from 475 in 2021.
Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, a twelve years old university, competed for the very first time in 2021 and grabbed 1st position in the country and maintained the same for two consecutive years. Earlier this year THE announced World’s Universities Ranking 2022 and according to that AWKUM is No.1 University in KP and 601 in overall world ranking . Based on our research we are ranked 200th in world citation ranking and ranked 24th in Asia (in 32 countries and 627 universities) and 3rd in South Asia (in 5 countries and 95 universities), 150th in emerging economies and 124th in Asia (as per THE World University Ranking 2021). This achievement indicates that our faculty is tremendously talented, dedicated and productive as teachers and researchers.
It is important to mention that participation in ranking enables an institution not only to brag but also to ascertain the areas that need to be strengthened. This is where the vision of the leadership takes the institution to new heights.
