The Career Counseling and Placement
Center (CCPC), Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM), organized an
interactive session for the students of the Department of Law and BS
Criminology with the Director General, Prosecution, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,
and his team. The interactive session was held at the Directorate General of
Prosecution in Peshawar.
Mr. Muhammad Rafiq Khan Mohmand,
Director General, Directorate of Prosecution, chaired the session and also
served as the discussant. The session was moderated by Dr. Muhammad Bilal,
Director of the Career Counseling and Placement Center (CCPC), AWKUM. Ms.
Sahibzadi Yasmeen Ara, Director Admin, Mr. Fazali Noorani, Director Legal, and
Mr. Zeeshan Ullah Afridi, Director Monitoring, also accompanied the DG
Prosecution and actively participated in the session. Dr. Syed Raza Shah
Gillani from the Department of Law, students of Law and Criminology, and the
CCPC team were also present on the occasion.
During the interactive session,
the Director General, Prosecution, KP, and members of his
team provided detailed insights into the prosecution process, legal
proceedings, responsibilities of prosecution authorities, and other relevant
legal matters. The speakers also highlighted the practical dimensions of legal
practice and the professional competencies required for students aspiring to
pursue careers in the legal and criminal justice sectors. The students actively
participated in the discussion and engaged with the officials through questions
and observations. The interactive exchange provided an opportunity for students
to relate their academic knowledge to the practical realities of the legal and
prosecution system.
Dr. Muhammad Bilal, Director, CCPC,
emphasized the importance of meaningful engagement between academia and
professional institutions. He noted that such initiatives provide students with
valuable professional exposure and contribute significantly to their career
development and preparedness for the workplace.
