Department of Islamic Studies "MS and PhD Admission Interview (Spring-2019)"
Notification
All those candidates
who have applied for the admission in PhD/MPhil Islamic Studies and have
cleared GAT-Special Test held on February 10, 2019 at Abdul Wali Khan
University Mardan or have already passed valid GAT-Subject Test (For PhD) and GAT-General
Test (For MPhil), are directed to appear for interview before the GSC on
February 18, 2019 (10:30 am) at the office of the chairperson, Department
of Islamic Studies, (Garden Campus) Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. Please
bring your original documents, CNIC and photo along with a set of
photocopies of the same documents.

Notification Regarding Spring 2019 NTS Test
If to inform all concerned that the
Spring 2019 admission test will be conducted by National Testing Service (NTS).
For MPhil the test will be GAT (General) and for PhD it will be GAT (Subject). The qualifying marks for MPhil are 50 out of 100 while for
PhD it will be 60 out of 100. The Test will be held on 10th
February 2019 at Garden Campus, near Sheikh Maltoon Town, Abdul Wali Khan
University Mardan.
All applicants are directed to bring
their CNIC or Passport along with 2 passport size photographs. NTS shall allow the
candidates in the test on verification of only CNIC or Passport of the
candidates. No other identity proof shall be entertained. In case of a lost
CNIC, the candidate shall have to provide a copy of the NADRA slip to prove
that he/she has applied for the fresh CNIC.
The lists of candidates have been uploaded at NTS website http://www.nts.org.pk/Test&Products/Lists/0219/AWKhanUni_10Feb19_FL/Search.php. The candidates are directed to get a printout of theroll number and other information displaying on this page and contact NTS Help Desk along with Original CNIC at your Reporting time.GAT subject test timing is 10:00 am while GAT General is 02:00 pm.Please report at test place one hour before the test. University Mardan with

Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM), established in 2009, is imparting Quality Education
through 35 disciplines of Arts and Humanities, Social, Basic and Applied
Sciences at Undergraduate, Graduate and Postgraduate levels. This is evident
from its five campuses;

HOSTEL FACILITY:
AWKUM provides hostel facility to both girls and boys
in the following campuses:
Boys: Hostel
facility is available for boys at Garden and Timergara Campuses.

facility is available for girls at the Main Campus Mardan.
TRANSPORT FACILITY:
AWKUM has one of the best transport fleet for
pick and drop facilities for students and staff at all Campuses in Mardan. This
facility is available for all the major and small towns including Peshawar,
Charsadda, Nowshera, Risalpur, Swabi, Nawi Kali, Toru, Mayar, Ghari

STUDENTS FINANCIAL AID PROGRAMS:
AWKUM has a comprehensive scholarship program for
providing financial assistance to meritorious and financially constrained

University Own Source (Fund) Scholarships:
University Own Source Scholarship program has been
providing need-based scholarships to Undergraduate and Graduate students since February 2010.

Scholarships
for Position Holders:
University offers merit scholarships for position
holders.
c.
HEC
Need Based Scholarships:
Higher Education Commission offers HEC Need Based
Scholarships to deserving students for the entire four years of Undergraduate
Program.
d.
MORA
Scholarships:
These scholarships are provided to needy and poor
students of AWKUM from Zakat Funds by Ministry of Religious Affairs through
District Zakat and Usher Offices.
e.
The
“Prime Minister’s Tuition Fee Reimbursement Scheme” Scholarships:
Government of Pakistan offers these scholarships to
students from Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, Shangla, Buner, Swat, Dir Upper, Dir
Lower, Malakand, Kohistan and FATA region studying at AWKUM. The program covers
tuition fee for the entire academic program at Graduate and Postgraduate
levels.

These scholarships aim to support the minority students
with highest academic potential and strong motivation to bring progress to
their families and communities.

Siblings
Fee Concession Scholarships:
If more than one brother/sister is enrolled, the
younger brother/sister will get half fee concession. The concession granted
shall only be in tuition fee.
h.
National
Bank of Pakistan Student Loan Scheme:
Financial Assistance is extended by providing interest
free loans to the needy students who are financially constrained in their
pursuit of Higher Education. The Graduate and Postgraduate students can benefit
from this scheme.

Requirements for Master’s Programs:
1.
On-line
applicants who wants to apply for Main Campus Mardan, Garden Campus Mardan and
University College of Science Shankar Mardan shall take a print of computer generated admission form and submit it to the
Directorate of Admissions office at Abdul Wali Khan University, garden campus
Mardan along with photocopies of
all DMCs (from Matric to last Academic Program), photocopy of Domicile
certificate, one recent passport size photograph and payment receipt or bank
draft.
2.
Applicants are required to submit Rs. 100/- for BS and Rs. 500/- for
Masters through a Bank Draft in favor of Treasurer, Abdul Wali Khan
University Mardan or by online transfer to UBL AWKUM Garden
Campus, A/C. No. 027388300322.
3.
The
applicants applying to SRH Pabbi
Campus and Timargara
Campus, AWKUM are requested to submit computer
generated admission form with photocopies of
all DMCs (from Matric to last Academic Program), photocopy of Domicile
