An Honor for AWKUM: Dr. Nasrullah Shah is Selected for Fulbright Award

Dr. Nasrullah Shah, Associate Professor of Chemistry, has been selected as a Principal Candidate for a Fulbright Scholar Award for 2019-2020, for one year fellowship in the United States. Fulbright Fellowship is the flagship and one of the most prestigious scholarship programs in Pakistan as well as on international level. The selection is made by The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) and J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FFSB) U.S.

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Shah competed with hundreds of faculty members from all over Pakistan, and in fact, the very first Fulbright selectee from AWKUM since its establishment. Dr. Shah’s selection under this program is indeed an honor for our university, since a very small ratio of faculty members are selected under this program. Hence, besides establishing good name and reputation of AWKUM, it will certainly bring new skills to our research by establishing collaboration between our university and one of the universities in the U.S.
