Applications are invited for the following position in the research project entitled “Social Capital and Women’s Climate Resilience: A Comparative Analysis of Women’s Adaptive Capacity in Gansu Province and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”, awarded to Dr. Muhammad Bilal, Lecturer, Department of Sociology, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, by the National Social Science Fund of China.

 Position Details

1	Research Associate (01)	The candidate must have an MPhil/MS degree in Sociology/Anthropology/Gender Studies (with 1st division or 3.00 CGPA out of 4.00 CGPA) from an HEC-recognized institution/university and be currently enrolled in, or ready to be enrolled in, a PhD Sociology program at AWKUM. The candidate should have no third division and no more than two second divisions throughout their academic career. Preference will be given to: Individuals having experience in fieldwork, data collection and qualitative data analysis. Females with a research background/interest in women-related studies.	18 Months	Rs: 20000/- per month (All inclusive)

✎ Terms & Conditions for Application

1. The above position is on a project fund basis for 18 months and will not be liable for extension after completion of the mentioned period, and there will be no financial liability on the part of AWKUM.

Applications are invited for the appointment of following positions at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, KP, Pakistan, under the HEC NRPU Project (Award Letter No: 5896/KPK/NRPU/R&D/HEC/2016) entitled  “Biomarkers identification for the immunodiagnosis of Helicobacter pylori infection: A proteomics approach" with the following terms and conditions:

Candidate having good hand on experience in microbiology or molecular biology will be preferred.	1 year and renewable for further one year / 20,000 PKR fixed per month; however the awardee shall sign a bond for duration of the project.
Research Assistant (PhD student)	01	MPhil in Microbiology. Preference will be given to already enrolled PhD students at the Department of Microbiology, AWKUM. .	Candidate having good hand on experience and research publication record in microbiology and molecular biology will be preferred.	1 year and renewable for further two years / 25,000 PKR fixed per month; however the awardee shall sign a bond for duration of the project.

Responsibilities:  The candidate will be responsible for sample collection, experimental work of the project, data compilation, analysis, writing of papers and proper maintenance of stock register or any relevant task.

Project Information: The project duration is 36 months. The above positions are purely on temporary basis and may be terminated any time without prior notice.
