پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نصر اللہ جان وزیر نے شعبہ پشتو عبدالولی خان یونیورسٹی کے لئے کتابوں کا عطیہ
پشتو اکیڈمی پشاور یونیورسٹی کے سابق ڈائریکٹر معروف ماہرِ تعلیم پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نصر اللہ جان وزیر نے اپنی ذاتی لائبریری سے قیمتی کتب کا ذخیرہ عبدالولی خان یونیورسٹی مردان کے شعبہ پشتو کو عطیہ کر دیا ہے۔ اس سلسلے میں شعبہ پشتو میں ایک پروقار تقریب منعقد ہوئی جس کی صدارت وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جمیل احمد نے کی۔
تقریب کے مہمانِ خصوصی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نصر اللہ جان وزیر تھے، جبکہ میزبانی کے فرائض ڈین فیکلٹی آف آرٹس پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد طاہر نے سرانجام دیے۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر نے شعبہ پشتو کی لائبریری کا باقاعدہ افتتاح بھی کیا۔
اپنے صدارتی خطاب میں وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جمیل احمد نے کہا کہ پشتو زبان و ادب کو جدید دور کے تقاضوں سے ہم آہنگ کرنے کے لیے ٹیکنالوجی کا سہارا لینا وقت کی اہم ضرورت ہے۔ انہوں نے ڈاکٹر نصر اللہ جان وزیر کے اس علمی تحفے کو سراہتے ہوئے اسے طلبہ کے لیے ایک عظیم اثاثہ قرار دیا۔
مہمانِ خصوصی ڈاکٹر نصر اللہ جان وزیر نے اظہارِ خیال کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پشتو زبان کی حقیقی ترقی کے لیے نئی اور معیاری تحقیق پر توجہ دینا ہوگی۔ انہوں نے امید ظاہر کی کہ یہ کتب محققین اور طلبہ کے علمی پیاس بجھانے میں مددگار ثابت ہوں گی۔
شعبہ پشتو کے سربراہ ڈاکٹر سید ظفر اللہ بخشالے نے شرکاء کو بتایا کہ یہ تقریب شعبہ پشتو کے قیام کی 10 سالہ جشن کے سلسلے میں منعقدہ پروگراموں کا حصہ ہے۔ ڈین فیکلٹی آف آرٹس ڈاکٹر محمد طاہر نے تمام مہمانوں کی آمد اور شعبے کی کاوشوں پر شکریہ ادا کیا۔ تقریب میں پختونخواہ کالج آف آرٹس کے پرنسپل پروفیسر فضل ستار درانی، ممبر سنڈیکیٹ ڈاکٹر محمد سہیل خان، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عاقب، ڈاکٹر شکریہ قادر، میڈم نگینہ، پیر حامد خویشکی، اسفندیار افندی ، میڈم ندا، ڈپٹی پرووسٹ کاظم خان، میڈیا انچارج عابد محمود اور بی ایس و ایم فل کے طلبہ نے بڑی تعداد میں شرکت کی۔

The Abdul Wali Khan
University Mardan launched University-Wide Soft Skills Development Program,
initiated by the University Advancement & Career Development Center
(UA&CDC). The initiative aims to equip students with essential competencies
required to the market or job industry.
The program features a
comprehensive series of activities beginning in April, focusing on soft skills
development and Job Readiness & Employability Skills Training Series to
enhance employability. The program will offer a wide range of sessions covering
presentation skills, professional communication, time management,
problem-solving, stress management, job hunting strategies and preparation
sessions for competitive examinations, including CSS, PMS and other one paper
exams conducted by KPPSC and FPSC.
On this occasion, the
honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jameel Ahmad addressed the participants and
shared his vision for the university. He emphasized the importance of holistic
student development and highlighted plans for strengthening the Career
Development Center of the university. He also outlined the establishment of a
Business Park, envisioned as a state-of-the-art facility that will integrate
career services, industry linkages, innovation support, and entrepreneurship
development under one roof.
Dr. Muhammad Bilal,
Director-UA&CDC shared a detailed calendar of activities to be carried out
throughout the spring semester 2026. He talked about the rapid changes in
knowledge economy and epistemology of knowledge that has been creating
challenges for the students in academia and job market. In his discussion, the
director connected the importance of this series of activities in overcoming the
mentioned gaps that are faced by the students in the job market.
