AWKUM Food Science & Technology Students Develop Innovative Health Beneficiary Product

Under the remarkable leadership of the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Zahoor Ul Haq, AWKUM is committed to ensure healthy and happy life of the community through production of safe and healthier food products. In this regard, students of the Food Science & Technology (FST) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Amjad Iqbal and Dr. Sadiq Shah developed a new innovative health beneficiary product. The product is rich in natural antioxidants, immune boosting, chemo-preventive and anti-inflammatory compounds that will be equally good for normal and diabetic persons. An application to patent the product will be filed before launching it in the market.

AWKUM Fraternity Shines at Lyallpur Art & Literature Festival, Wins Best Art Team of Pakistan and Best Ambassador Awards

 

AWKUM Fraternity has brought laurels to the university by winning the Best Art Team of Pakistan Award and Best Ambassador Award in the 8th Lyallpur Art & Literature Festival. Salman Khan, Sheema Khan, and Sayyeda Farsa Urooba, students of PCA, secured top positions in the painting and calligraphy competitions, respectively. Syed Usama Shah, a student of IBL, secured the third position in the Naat competition. The students also attended various workshops, exhibitions, and seminars, including a photography workshop by Mr. Raja Bashir and a textile design industrial development workshop at Moti Fabric Pvt Ltd. The students received several art commissions and projects from dignitaries, and these accomplishments would not have been possible without the support and guidance of PCA AWKUM's respected principal, Fazli Sattar Durrani.
