The
Business Incubation Center, Abdul Wali Khan University (AWKUM) in collaboration
with Accountability Lab and Asia Foundation organize one day seminar on
November 01, 2021 at Business Incubation Center AWKUM on how to make a
successful business plan for aspiring entrepreneurs. The students were given brief presentation on
innovation and idea generation. The main purpose of the event was to equip the
students on entrepreneurial skills and business concepts.
The
total numbers of participants were 30. Among 30 participants, 15 percent were
female. The participants were from various departments but the large majority
was from the Institute of Business Studies & Leadership.
Mr.
Pir Amad Shah was invited as a guest speaker. He is a project coordinator in Dursha
(Government funded project). Durshal is KPITB's flagship program for nurturing
startup culture in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The
session was started with a recitation from the Holy Quran. Mr. Shah Awan
(Coordinator, BIC AWKUM) welcomed the guest speaker and aspiring entrepreneurs
to the session. The guest speaker
started the session on how to develop a business idea. The students were
further briefed on business plan template. The student took keen interest in
the session. In the end, question answer session was held. The guest speaker
addressed all the questions.
The
seminar was followed by an exposure visit to National Incubation Center (NIC)
Peshawar on November 05, 2021. The students were briefed regarding the
establishment of NICs in the country. Mr. Bilal Farooq Khan, Marketing &
Communication Manager – NIC Peshawar delivered a brief presentation on the NIC
startup and accelarator program.
