Dr. Jehangir Khan, Department of Zoology, successfully defended his PhD

 

Dr. Jehangir Khan, lecturer in Zoology, has successfully defended his PhD thesis on "Wolbachia as a Novel Tool to Control Dengue Vector Mosquito Population" under the supervision of Prof. Xi Zhiyong from Michigan State University, Prof. Wu Zhongdao and Prof. Wu Yu from the Parasitology Department, Sun Yat-sen University, China. 

Dr. Khan is the first Pakistani to study the Wolbachia-virus interference pathways in Aedes mosquito vectors.

Under the supervision of Dr. Mushtaq Raza and co-supervisor Dr. Palwasha Afsar, Mr. Umar Hayat Khan successfully defended and completed his MS in computer science with the title "Pull Request Prioritization and Recommendation Algorithms based on Acceptance and Response Probability."
