 Moving ahead with its legacy of academic and research excellence, Abdul Wali Khan University (AWKUM) retained No.1 position in KP and is ranked 2nd in Pakistan and 149th overall as per Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings – 2022.  The 2022 ranking includes 616 universities from 31 territories. AWKUM, an eleven year old university by grabbing 149th position, has left behind many leading universities of Pakistan.

The hard work and perseverance of the faculty, staff and students has made this success happen. Despite all the hurdles, AWKUM is growing substantially, and is ready to take a quantum leap to reach new heights. It is important to mention that participation in ranking enables an institution to ascertain the areas that need to be strengthened. This achievement indicates that our faculty is tremendously talented, dedicated and productive as teachers and researchers. This is where the vision of the leadership takes the institution to new heights. The Vice chancellor has given top priority to the research, teaching skills and developing international outlook. In his message, the vice chancellor congratulated the students, faculty, and staff of AWKUM and said “This amazing accomplishment is just one step on your journey. Your unwavering pursuit of knowledge and research to find innovative ways to improve the world is the key to this success and many to come”.

 عبدالولی خان یونیورسٹی کے پرو وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر زاہد مروت کی مدت ملازمت پوری ہونے پر انکے اعزاز میں ایک تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ تقریب کے مہمان خصوصی وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ظہور الحق  تھے۔  تقریب میں  وائس چانسلر لکی مروت یونیورسٹی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اورنگزیب ،رجسٹرار سائم سہیل،پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سعید الاسلام  پروفیسر ڈاکٹر طاہر ،ڈاکٹر طارق محمود ، ڈاکٹر خسرو ،ڈاکٹر فاروق حسین ،ڈاکٹر ادریس ، عادل خان،وقار، کامران ،ابرار حسین اور حسن خان نے شرکت کی۔  عبدالولی خان یونیورسٹی کے سبکدوش ہونے والے پرو وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر زاہد مروت  نے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ظہور الحق اور یونیورسٹی انتظامیہ کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ظہور الحق نے شرکاء سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ   یونیورسٹی کی تعمیر و ترقی میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر زاہد مروت  کا انتہائی اہم کردار رہا ہے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر زاہد مروت  انتہائی محنتی اور ایماندار انسان ہیں ان کی خدمات قابل ستائش ہیں ۔  ان  کی خدمات کو ہمیشہ یاد رکھا جائے گا۔  ۔ تقریب کے اختتام پر وائس چانسلر نے سبکدوش ہونے والے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر زاہد مروت  کو یونیورسٹی کیجانب سے یادگار ی شیلڈ اور تحائف بھی دیئے۔
