Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, a public sector university, requires the services of Visiting Faculty for semester FALL – 2026 in the Department of Psychology. Interested candidates may appear through a walk-in interview as per the details below.

- Interested candidates are required to bring original documents for interview (along with CV and attested photocopies of their all DMC's, Degrees, Experience Certificates, CNIC & 01 Passport Size Photograph).
- The applicant shall have no Third Division in academic career.
- CGPA less than 3.00 out of 4.00 shall be considered as Second Division.
- The applicants are required to reach the venue on the given date & time. No application will be entertained after the given date & time.
- In case of foreign degree, the applicant must produce HEC Equivalence Certificate.
- In-service candidates shall apply through proper channel. They must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer/Institution.
- No TA/DA shall be admissible.

Official MOU Signing Between AWKUM's Department of Psychology and MTI BKMC Mardan
We are delighted to announce that the
Department of Psychology at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) has
officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MTI BKMC
Mardan. This collaboration marks a significant milestone, fostering academic
and research cooperation between the two institutions.

allowing them to gain valuable real-world experience.

organizing seminars, workshops, and events that promote the exchange of

- Representing the Department of
Psychology at AWKUM were Dr. Syed Rashid Ali, Dr. Tahir Farid, Mr. Zahoor
Alam, and Mr. Adnan Khan.
- The delegation from MTI BKMC
Mardan included Dr. Amjad Ali, Dr. Fazil, and Dr. Iftihar.
MOU Signing: Dr. Syed Rashid Ali, the Head of the Department of Psychology at AWKUM,
and Dr. Amjad Ali, Associate Dean Research at MTI BKMC, took center stage to

One day seminar on "Mental Health Awareness" organized by Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan arranged a one day seminar on mental health, Mental Health Awareness. Walk, Poster Presentation and Free Counselling Camp at main campus of university on the occasion of mental health day. Dr. Tahir Farid, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, enriched the participants about the knowledge on mental health and well being. At the end of the seminar, a walk was arranged in supervision of the Head of the Department of Psychology, Dr. Syed Rashid Ali along with faculty and students. The students and faculty displayed playcards regarding Mental health awareness. Furthermore, Coordinator Main Campus, Syed Ali Shah, inaugurated the poster presentations and free counselling camp ceremony. The students presented different Psychological disorders through poster presentations. At the end both the faculty and students administered free counselling sessions for the students and employees.

Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan's Department of Psychology Organized a Seminar on "Suicide Prevention: A Mental Health Issue"
In commemoration of World Suicide
Prevention Day, the Department of Psychology at Abdul Wali Khan University
Mardan organized a one-day seminar titled "Suicide Prevention: A Mental
Health Issue." The event aimed to shed light on the critical issue of
suicide prevention and raise awareness of its implications.
Dr. Tahir Farid, Assistant Professor
in the Department of Psychology, led the seminar, imparting valuable insights
into suicide prevention strategies, risk factors, and its perception within the
Islamic context. The seminar provided an in-depth understanding of the
importance of mental health and the steps that can be taken to prevent suicide.
Dr. Farid emphasized the need for
open discussions and awareness campaigns to combat the growing concerns
surrounding mental health and suicide. He stated, "Addressing mental
health issues and promoting suicide prevention is a collective responsibility.
We must create a supportive environment where individuals can seek help without
fear of stigma."
The event concluded on a powerful
note with a walk organized under the supervision of Professor Dr. Zahir Shah,
Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Faculty members, students, and
participants carried placards advocating for suicide awareness, displaying
messages of hope and encouragement.
Professor Dr. Shah praised the
initiative, saying, "It is crucial to tackle the stigma associated with
mental health problems. Events like these play a significant role in fostering
a community that is supportive, empathetic, and ready to help those in
need."
The seminar and awareness walk held
by the Department of Psychology at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan showcased
a strong commitment to addressing mental health challenges and suicide
prevention. By raising awareness and encouraging open conversations, the
university is taking proactive steps to make a positive impact on the
well-being of its community and beyond.
