A one-day seminar was arranged by PIO office AWKUM on 5th
of March 2019 at IBL, Garden Campus on Right to Information Law. The purpose of
this gathering was to bring awareness among the citizens about RTI law. It was
highlighted by the speakers that transparency of information plays a vital role
in smooth functioning of democracy and improving its governance, reduce
corruption and to held public functionaries accountable before their citizens.
The main participants were Honorable Chief Guest Mr. Azmat Hanif Orakzai (Chief
Commissioner, KP Information Commission), Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr.
Muhammad Khurshid, Prof. Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq, Respected Deans and HODs, Public
Information Officer (PIO) M. Aqeel Khan, Respected Faculty, Administrative
staff and students from various departments including Law. Assistant Prof. Law Ms. Ayesha Rasool hosted
the event.
