The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad has granted a No
Objection Certificate (NOC) to Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) for
the launch of a PhD program in the Department of Law. This significant
development was confirmed by the Director Academics, Prof. Dr. Saeed Islam.
In light of this approval, AWKUM has officially opened admissions
for the PhD program in Law, with the last date for online application
submission set for October 23, 2024. Prospective candidates are encouraged to
apply through the university’s online portal.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahir Shah commended the efforts of
Director Academics Prof. Dr. Saeed Islam and Chairman of the Law Department Dr.
Zubair Khan in achieving this milestone. He highlighted that AWKUM is now the
only university in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa offering a PhD program in Law, and the
fourth university in Pakistan to receive this prestigious honor.
