Dr. Tahir Hussain, working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology was awarded a fully sponsored travel grant by Health Security Partners, USA to present his research work on, “The strategies for containment of AMR in Pakistan” in the international conference, titled, “33rd European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ECCMID-23)”, held on April 15-18 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Every
year the European
Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) hold an annual congress in one
of the selected European country. The 2023 ECCMID was held in Copenhagen,
Denmark. The congress provides an opportunity for the scientists, researchers
and students from around the world working in the domains of clinical microbiology
and infectious diseases to share their research experiences with the
global scientific community. ECCMID is regarded one of the most prestigious and
largest events in microbiology in the Europe.
Dr. Tahir Hussain presented his exciting findings at the conference, and was able to make collaborations with scientists and policy makers from USA and Europe, which will be very beneficial in terms of research and educational opportunities for the students of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.
