Notification for Students of IBL, BBA 8th Semester


On Campus Recruitment Drive By Kashf Foundation


The office of Career Development Centre (CDC) and  Institute of Business Studies & Leadership (IBL) has organized “On Campus Recruitment Drive” in collaboration with “KASHF Foundation” on June 26, 2018 for the positions of Management Trainee Officer (MTO) & Business Development Officers (BDO).

The “KASHF Foundation” HR team visited the university for the said recruitment drive and started the interview session at Institute of Business Studies & Leadership at 10:30am.

The multiple positions of Management Trainee Officer (MTO) & Business Development Officer (BDO) were created with reference to previous relations among the two offices for the final year students and alumni of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan whose names were shortlisted by the employer foundation.

Before starting the interviews, the HR team delivered a session on Career Management and CV writing. About 74 students were interviewed from different departments including alumni in which 17 females were hired from Mardan region.
On the occasion, faculty members of Institute of Business Studies & Leadership, Deputy Director CDC Ms. Faiza Faiz Malik were present.

Mr. Shahid Ullah, PhD student of Dr. Muhammad Ajaz, Assistant Professor of Physics, AWKUM has published a paper in International Journal of Modern Physics A, June 2018, Vol. 33, No. 17. The title of the paper is “π±K±K±, protons and antiprotons production in proton–carbon interactions a 31 GeV/c using hadron production models”

Dr. Muhammad Zakarya, Lecturer of Computer Science, Published a Research Paper of Impact Factor 9.122


Dr. Muhammad Zakarya, Lecturer in Department of Computer Science, has published a research paper titled "Energy, performance and cost efficient datacenters: A survey" in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, an Elsevier journal of Impact Factor 9.122.





Dr. Tahir Hussain, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology Presented Research in The Conference “ASM Microbe 2018” held in Atlanta, USA


Dr. Tahir Hussain, working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology was awarded a travel grant by Health Security Partners- a Washington-based organization, to present his research work on, “The emergence and dissemination of superbugs in Pakistan” in the international conference “ASM Microbe 2018”, held on June 7-11 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. ASM Microbe is one of the most prestigious and largest conferences in microbiology.

Every summer the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) hold annual conference which is globally regarded as the largest gathering of scientists, researchers and students from around the world working in the diverse disciplines of microbiology to share their research experiences; and to devise strategies for containing the emerging health security threats as well as to tame and engineer microbes for the benefit of humanity.

Dr. Tahir Hussain presented his exciting research findings at the conference, and was able to make research collaborations with scientists from USA and Canada, which will not only pave the ways for collaborative research work but will also be of help in training opportunities for graduate students of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.
